Week 2 - Principles of Designing Website

Week 2

Lecture - In this lecture class, I learned about the principles of designing a webiste. Firstly, the purpose of setting the foundation, create a content that gives the meaning, having a high - quality visuals to keep people engaged, harmony to make a design better, knowing about typography shapes perception, organization unifies, colours set the tone, white space that creates balance, visual hierarchy keeps navigation simple and authenticity fosters trust. I also learned that how important is to design a clean content.

    Today our class also having the Flip Group Presentation from Group 1. The group have presented their own favourite website designers / studio which is Web Ninja Studio, Maroon Studio, Jumix, Corsiva Lab and Imagint. This group dosen't have any Q&A section is because their the first group to present, and that time Q&A section has not been asked. Below here is the prove of their presentation.

Tutorial - In this tutorial class, I will be creating my own website banner. Firstly, I need to find reference, and create my final banner. Moving on by finding reference for my cv as well. I have sketch many different design for my cv as well. Below here I just put my final website banner and cv, but actually the deadline is not on week 2.

Practical - Today Mr Fauzi told us to design our own logo. What makes this semester special is we don't really having difficulties or confusing in what steps to do first when creating a logo. He already create a slide for us by guiding us step by step. Firstly, I have to brief an idea about what I want to apply to my logo, what message that I want people to understand about it, think about 3 words to describe my logo, and a slogan. Furthermore, I find reference for logo and the typography that I wanted to use and I try different designs and colours. Finally I get my final outcome which I pretty like it.
