Week 4 - Designing Layout and Content - Images

Week 4

Lecture - Learned about how to use images to create a good website layout. First step is by using meaningful, high-quality imagery. Secondly, follow a basic rules of photography. Third, knowing that composition is they key. Fourth, incorporate graphic icons for better usability. Fifth, communicate data with infographics and charts. 

    Today our class also having the Flip Group Presentation from Group 3, which is my group. Our group have presented our own favourite website designers / studio which is Xantec, Jasdesigner, Kang Xiang, Bike Bear and Corsiva Lab. We have been provided a few Q&A questions. Below here shows our questions and answers :

1. Why did you choose “Jasdesigner” as your favorite web studio?

Because their style is similar to mine, which is minimalism. I also liked their minimalist designs.

2. What makes “Jasdesigner” famous?

Elegance, simple & minimalist

3. Which company design did you like the most?

I like “Jasdesigner” because of their elegant and simple designs, theme and style.

4. Which place would you like to join for your internship?

I would like to join my internship with “BikeBear”

5. Which logo among these 5 companies that you like the most?

Yee Ling and Tashmitha are BikeBear, Bin Hui is Jasdesigner, Jing Yao is Xantec, and Carmen is Corsiva Lab.

Tutorial and Practical - I've done some corrections and redesign a new ideas for my banner and cv to show Mr Fauzi for checking. He's quite okay with it but he suggest me to use the same colour theme for my banner and logo in order to let others know that this is from the same person's work.
